Happy Holiday’s

Forgive this belated Thanksgiving newsletter but I’m assuming you were crazy busy over the holidays, what with the family gatherings, turkey eating, Friday shopping and leftovers. Ummm . . . leftovers. I think I just drooled on my keyboard.

And although the carols have commenced, I’m hoping you and I can hold electronic hands as we pause to think about what we are most thankful for.

So without further ado or doing anything further here’s my top ten things I am thankful for. (Hint – keep reading because you’re on it :)

#10: I’m thankful that I’m not the only one who watched every episode of ‘Lost’ loved it and still have no idea what happened.

#9: I’m thankful that I’m not a turkey . . . at least not the eating kind.

#8: I’m thankful to all the people who have written me inquiring about my career after football – again, wrong Jim Brown – but it’s nice to have contact.

#7: I’m thankful for great music. And that the word ‘great’ is completely subjective.

#6: Speaking of which I’m really thankful that no on knows that I’ve secretly memorized the lyrics to the Vanilla Ice classic “Go Ninja, Go Ninja, Go”. Wait . . . forget I said that.

#5: I’m thankful for puddin’. Enough said.

#4: I’m thankful I didn’t attend Hogwatts because frankly flying around on a broom looks like it would chafe.

#3: I’m thankful that elephant can’t fly like Dumbo. Think about it you’ll see my point.

#2: I’m thankful that Chaplin the Cat does not have thumbs because he can already open every cabinet door in the house and with thumbs – well -- I’m afraid he would take over my newsletter and be way better at it than I am.

And the Number #1 thing that I thankful for – is . . . YOU. Thank you from the bottom, middle and top of my heart. Your support buoy’s my spirit when the words are being fickle and evasive. It comforts me when the deep dark things I research as a writer and experience as a journalist creep into my night-time thoughts.

Thank you for subscribing to this newsletter (and if you haven’t got your free copy of Boom yet please do it’s yours). And know that when I bowed my head for my official Thanksgiving Day dinner it will be you that I’m am grateful for. You are wonderful, unique and my friend.

All my best,

Jim

Thank you for the free copy of BOOM! If I win the contest to be a character in your next novel, I'd like to be the seductive siren that possesses the power that the vaiant hero is after...or something like that. It is okay if I die at the end, just please don't make me a writer, or a mother, or a grandmother, or a secretary because I am already those things.

WE, your fans, thank YOU, Mr. Brown for your creativity and your guts in taking the chance of putting your ideas into a book and sharing it with us! For those of us who are voracious readers, finding a new author is like finding a treasure box! Oh the JOY. So, at Thanksgiving, I personally gave thanks to YOU and my other favorite authors for the hours of pleasure your works have brought me. Please keep the books coming!

I would love to be in your next book if you find a need for a narcisstic bitch who hates her kids and has bladder control issues. Oh yeah my sense of humor borders on the bizzare and I laugh just when I should't.....hence the bladder control issue.......Think crazy!!!
